Menno van der Meulen was born in 1968 in Leeuwarden (northern part of the Netherlands) and lives in Arnhem (eastern part of the Netherlands) as from 1990. In 2009 Menno started working as a photographer for Luxor Live, a well-known pop podium in Arnhem, where he has taken photographs of all kinds of pop, rock, hip hop artists and DJ's. Here the fascination of taking photographs of people really became obvious. As a freelance photographer he is a self-educated person. Enabling him to gain more knowledge about photography from a technical point of view, he started attending the Photo Academy of Amsterdam in 2010.
